Overview

At Lottie, we're committed to working closely with you from the very beginning. Our aim is to ensure your listing pages are clear, accurate, and easy for care seekers to navigate!

A well-optimised listing not only attracts more enquiries but also ensures those enquiries are high-quality and well-matched to what your home offers. This article shares our top tips for creating listing pages that stand out and convert care seekers into admissions.

Lottie's top tips for a high-quality listing page

Keep your listing information up-to-date

Accuracy is essential for attracting the right enquiries.

  • During onboarding, you'll be able to edit your draft listings to ensure all key details are there. Be sure to include as much information as possible!

  • Accurate, up-to-date information helps to attract high-quality enquiries, as care seekers can clearly see how your home meets their specific needs

Keeping your listing current ensures care seekers have confidence that the information they're reading reflects your home today, not months ago.

Share high-resolution images of your care home

Visual content is crucial for engaging care seekers and showcasing your home.

Image specifications:

  • Orientation: We recommend all images are landscape

  • Dimensions: 2048 × 1366 (but this doesn't need to be exact)

  • File formats: PNG or JPEG

  • File size: Between 1.5 MB and 20 MB

What to include:

  • We recommend sharing between 15-30 images, with a good mixture of interior and exterior views.

  • Enhance your listing further by including images of resident-staff interactions and activities.

  • Our State of Care Report 2024 found that gardens, family rooms and dining rooms are amongst the top facilities care-seekers look for, so if you have any imagery related to these facilities, we'd recommend including them, too.

    Video & virtual tours:

  • Our data shows that listings with videos or virtual tours generate more interest. If you'd like to know more about this, speak with your support team about how Lottie can support you in boosting your media assets!

Ensure transparent pricing & funding information

Clear financial information builds trust and attracts qualified enquiries.

  • Ensure your home's available funding options are clear (e.g., private rates, NHS, Local Authority, Local Authority + Top-up, etc.)

  • Include indicative weekly rates where possible

  • Be upfront about what's included in the fees

Transparent pricing ensures care seekers feel confident that their financial and care needs align with your offerings, resulting in higher intent, targeted enquiries.

Consider adding a special offer

Special offers can significantly boost engagement with your listing.

Lottie's data shows that listings featuring special offers (e.g., "Enjoy 4 weeks for the price of 3 if you book before 30th November!") can receive an uplift in engagement of up to 21% from care seekers.

Special offers create urgency and give care seekers an additional incentive to enquire at your home over competitors.

Please note: to add or update a promotional or special offer please contact our support team and they'll update it for you.

Highlight what makes your home stand out

Showcase your unique features and differentiators.

Does your home offer something special? This might be:

  • Nostalgia rooms for dementia residents

  • An on-site shop or bar

  • A putting green in the garden

  • Trips out in the mini-van

  • Dedicated key workers for residents

  • Specialist care capabilities

  • Award-winning cuisine

  • Pet-friendly policies

  • Cultural or religious considerations

Including these unique offerings in your overviews or images can help care seekers better understand your home, and can encourage higher-quality enquiries from those whose needs align perfectly with what you offer.
