Eliza call automations

Eliza feature: This feature is available as part of the Eliza module only. If you'd like to upgrade your plan, please contact your account manager.

Overview

Eliza's call automations help keep you informed of the work Eliza is doing on your behalf over the phone. When specific events occur during a call — like Eliza speaking to a job seeker or taking a message — automations can notify the right people automatically. Automations here only cover calls; there's no equivalent for chat yet.

Where to find it

Navigate to Eliza → Automations → Calls, or Settings → Automations → Eliza

  • Both show the same page. Each automation appears as a card showing its status (Enabled/Disabled) and, once enabled, how many of your homes are set up (for example "2/4 locations").

How it works

Job seeker call notifications

When Eliza handles a call from someone asking about work, she categorises it as a Job seeker call and this automation emails your chosen recipients.

The email includes the home, the caller's name and phone number, whether they asked for a callback, and the details Eliza gathered — role interest, experience, availability and right to work in the UK — plus a summary and a link to the full call.

Message notifications

When Eliza takes a message during a call — from a supplier, a healthcare professional, a family member, anyone who isn't a job seeker — this automation emails the message to team members you choose.

The email includes the home, the caller's name, number and company, the type of caller, the message itself, and a link to the call in Found.

Note: The two automations don't overlap — job-seeker calls only ever trigger the job-seeker email, and messages from everyone else trigger the message email. Both are also separate from the follow-up task and enquiry link that Eliza creates automatically for every call — that happens regardless of anything configured here, and isn't something you turn on or off from this page.

Setting up an automation

Job seeker call notifications:

  1. On the card, select Enable.

  2. Under Recipient emails, add one or more email addresses for each home — select "Add another" for more than one. These can be any email address, whether or not the person uses Found.

  3. Save.

Message notifications:

  1. On the card, select Enable.

  2. Under Who, select one or more team members for each home from the dropdown of that home's Found users.

  3. Save.

Either way, a home only receives notifications once it has at least one recipient — Save is blocked until at least one home is configured.

Rules and permissions

  • Requires Eliza call handling to be enabled for your workspace.

  • Enabling or editing an automation requires edit permission on Automations. Without it, the card opens in read-only view (the button reads "View" instead of "Enable" or "Manage").

  • At least one home must have a recipient configured before an automation can be saved.

Frequently asked questions

Q: Can notifications go to someone who doesn't use Found? A: Job-seeker notifications, yes — recipients are plain email addresses. Message notifications go to team members you pick from your workspace.

Q: Can different homes notify different people? A: Yes. Recipients are set per home, so each home can have its own list.

Q: Where can I see the call an email refers to? A: Every notification links to the call in Found, where you'll find the recording, transcript and summary. All calls also remain in your Call log.

Q: Are these the same as the task or enquiry link that appears automatically on a call? A: No. That happens automatically for every call Eliza handles and isn't configurable. These two automations are separate, opt-in email notifications that you turn on and set up yourself.

Q: Is there a version of this for Eliza Chat? A: Not currently — automations are only available for calls today.
